Higher Power
Today I went to The Westin Hotel to attend Monash University Information Day held by SUN Education Group. I gathered so much info and had my questions and concerns answered. The SUN Edu representative really encouraged me to at least secure a safe IELTS score then I can do all the things required for registration.
After that, I walked to Fore and grabbed a coffee then I proceeded to a mosque for Magrib prayer. After the prayer, I joined the dzikr and at the moment of reciting "Allahuakbar" for 33 times, I suddenly had a vision of a globe, of me, a small dot, flew across the ocean to the land below, Australia. I gasped and realized that, Allah, with the power ever so great, can effortlessly, move me from Indonesia to Australia, even in a blink of an eye. I got my eyes a bit teary because I want it so very much, yet I don't think I've ever worked hard for it.
So that's it. This blog is written and read by me, so I think there would be no problem, that I can safely say that currently I'm preparing for pursuing a master's degree in translation and interpreting in Australia. My preferred unis are UNSW and Monash because they offer English - Bahasa Indonesia specialisation and the courses suit my needs. I plan to have July 2025 intake. My biggest fear – that I've never knocked on the door before – is applying for fully-funded scholarship: LPDP and AAS. I need to pass in one shot in order to make the most of it. Wish me luck!
