Hello! Another quick year passed by. In general, 2023 is a year of... achievement. Thankfully I achieved quite a lot this year, both personally and for others. I stay single ofc, no progress at all lol, but I'm okay I'm fine gwenchana teng neng nong neng. Without further ado, let's recap 2023!
January
Starting the wet January by going to Tuku and had my first sunset there. It was raining all day long since end of December and the rain just stopped in the afternoon. I took it as a sign to sip Tuku lol.
An unusually pretty day in January 🥰 after yoga in Tebet Eco Park, I went to PI for having a solo community day lol. After that, I head to Taman Kota to have a picnic using my yoga mat lol. That day was sooooo pretty. The sky was so clear. Love it.
Basically, nothing was too special this month. I just had my routine, still working under hybrid arrangement, trying food to try after work for motivation of going to the office lol.
I broke my Quechua water bottle 🥲 it was thrown away when I passed speed bumpers while I was cycling to Bukit Ilalang, and shortly after, a car passed by and ran on the bottle 🫠 it did not break! Only suffered severe scratches here and there lol.

February
FINALLY I GOTTA SEE CIGARETTES AFTER SEX CONCERT 😆😭🥰
I took a day off, but I slacked a lot so I arrived at the venue before the concert started, but too late to secure the front row (I was in standing Festival category).
The concert itself was... surreal. Before, I only listened to them while commuting, in my power nap at the office and at home, and when I feel tired after work, simply needed their soothing songs to comfort me. That night I saw them with my own eyes, listened to their songs performed live 😭

After that yea... business as usual. There was TP Bootcamp in Serpong. Usually it is held end of year, but this one was held in the beginning of the year to make up the bootcamp that was not held last year due to pandemic restriction. In this Bootcamp, Alfred and I had a chance to deliver a material on effective writing lol. It made me re-read Writing 2 textbook 😂. I also met Wawan, the Digital Innovation team for TP, and we had a discussion which led to automated TP translation request database. Yatta! A step closer to digitally documented work.
I caught shiny Kyogre 🥹 now I have a pair of shiny Kyogre and Groudon.
March
Working double job as I had freelance job. I usually did it after work or a whole day after yoga in Tebet Eco Park at Starbucks Tebet.
Maliq concert sales. Dang, it was pricey af. I was hesitated, but I decided to not go 😔.

April
Still having the freelance job that I love (since it pays me well).
I reached 51 kg during Ramadhan hahaha. I was not happy, it was a bit scary as it was 2 kgs away from categorised as underweight 😞.
I was in a mission to find a specific Ikea bed sheet hahahaha idk I was obsessed, but I found none 😂.
First time trying out Mixue hahahaha it was okay.
Idul Fitri at home (again). We drove around the (empty) city hahaha. So fun! But we caught in a heavy traffic jam in Pejaten to Pasar Minggu and Margonda on the way home mehhh.
I did not take annual leave after lebaran, so I could enjoy the empty Jakarta for commuting. Ah I wish it was the normal condition. I would be more willing to come to the office regularly.
Riding my motobike to Fia's then we headed to Bintaro to have Umaku luxurious lunch HAHAHAHA. It was our first time eating at Umaku. Since we can only order once, we ordered anything we wanted hahahaha resulted in a full dishes on our table 😆 each of us paid around 400k HAHAHA but we did not regret it because the food was soooo goooddddd 🥹🥹🥹 for the first time I enjoyed tuna, and I discovered how good scallops are 🤤.

Coldplay announced that it will perform in Jakarta this year hahahaha. I tried to participate the crowd by fighting for the ticket... at the office hahahaha. A colleague and I used LAN cable to do the war, but to no avail 😔.
Frilongssssss and submitted it. Had a peaceful weekend!
Mislead had a... playdate 😂 now it is no longer hangout lololol. They brought along le husband and le children. We met at Tamani Kids Cafe, so the kids could play (with their dads, the moms and I were chatting lol).
June
Starting this week by discovering Oatside was already available in Bojong Gede hahahaha. Getting more civilised, I see.
Oh damn another freelance but submitted it as well.
SEEING GENG DUFAN!!!!! We gathered at FIB first, but then we moved to Margo since FIB was closed as it was public holiday (?) it was fun, I feel like going back to college days when and with whom I had fun the most 🥹.
Having a movie marathon: Guardians of the Galaxy and Spiderman into the Spiderverse, sponsored by Jago discount lol.
Finally I managed to save some money for Mamah and Papah's umrah 😭 all those freelance money I dedicated for this umrah. I had planned this since last November. According to my own calculation, if I put aside some money from my monthly salary, it would take 2-3 years to achieve the number. But with Allah's will, my way to earn the money was soooo smooth. It even only took 8 months to reach it. Masya Allah. 🥲
July
Om Imam was coming home. Aaaak my favorite om! He stayed a night here. I was just back from Aeon Tanjung Barat after meeting Sobadh Gabudh when I saw him home aaaak. We talked until late. It was nice talking to him again after we only communicated through WhatsApp since the last time I saw him in 2019. Even longer for other family members since the last time they saw him was 2017. Om Imam was surprised his nephews are growing up hahahaha. Some days after, when he was back to Japan, he sent me peach... picture 😫 aaaaa my favorite fruit huhuhuhu. I'll have another peach one day in Japan! いつか日本に桃を食べます.
Having a Community Day at Gandaria City, after that I went to GBK to watch Maliq & D'Essentials live stage. Whoaaaa I really sang like I never sang, danced like I never danced throughout their performance! 😆 reallllyyyyy enjoyed my time there that my clothes got wet and I had to change them lol.
I cycled to Situ Gunung, as usual. Enjoying my time there, when a guy approached me. Okay turned out he was a creep ewwww I was deeply traumatized.

HAHAHAHA though it was not fully full split, it gave me confidence that my body is capable of doing it! A bit touched as I discovered it when I am 28 years old 🥹 never thought of discovering body flexibility this age haha.

Early August, Fia and I renewed our passport at Jaksel Immigration Office and worked together afterwards. We decided to have polycarbonate electronic passport hahah.
I had a solo date on 7 August 🥰
Started the date by having lunch at Lyma Gandaria. The brisket was soooo gooood 🤤🤤 smoky and tender at the same time. Then I walked to Famima to have my dessert, Famima Ice Cream haha. After that I walked again to Sunyi, a cafe ran by deaf people. I ordered my drink using simple sign language at the cashier. The cafe's name reflected the ambience, silent. I worked on my freelance project there, and I strolled around Taman Barito in the afternoon. I was envy seeing high school students just chilling there after school like, we didn't Lenteng have a proper park like that so I and my friends could chill in the park as well huhu. As the night fell, I walked to Seirock-Ya to have its unbeatable ramen. Tummy was full and satisfied, I continued my day to Grand Indonesia. I walked straight to HMNS pop-up store and bought the perfume that I unexpectedly like, Farhampton lol. Clock ticking, I walked to Saturdays to buy glasses. Finally I had a chance to update (?) my glasses. My myopia grew huft. Having spent the day mostly by walking, no energy left to walk back to the train station, so I took an ojol instead and went home.
The next day, my 29th birthday, mamah papah and I had a lunch at Abuba Steak Bogor. It was only three of us, I felt like the only child lol. Then we had a dinner at Sambal Bakar in Sukahati with Ocha as well. Well... the day was ordinary while it was my last birthday in my 20s 🥲
Ah ya I started developing (?) acne again around this month 😭 idk why, but I feel like going back to my skin in my adolescent days huhu.

Starting September by the email notifying that support staff (including me) are required to fully work from the office.

What a way to start the last quarter in 2023. So yea, starting from September, I had the old routine. It felt strange yet familiar. To keep myself entertained, I made a comparison of the best route to work lol, exploring any possible route to sustain the routine. Turned out taking the train to Sudirman is the best route, so I had it almost every day. Hhhh. But yea the positive thing is I can play Pokemon GO more haha.
Finally finished the clear aligner treatment for like 10 months 😭 it went well, I got my teeth aligned. The next step is to wear retainer for all day under the same usage time as aligner for around 3 months. After that, I will only have to wear it during sleep. Yay!!!
Ocha was graduated. Finally the last child has graduated.
October
A surprise in early October was my Zenfone fell down the balcony and it hit the LCD, hence the LCD was glitching. 🤡 It had fallen down numerous times and it survived, I think the time for its end has come :( it has been with me since November 2019, and I thought we'll make it to four years. 😭 Thankfully I had some savings left from buying the Macbook last year, so I bought an iPhone 😂 hell yeah welcome to Vania's Apple era lol. I bought the cheapest new phone available: iPhone 11 64 GB hahah. I bought it after work at iBox Plaza Indonesia and used it right away since I did not have any working phones that day hahaha.
Then I just work as usual. With freelance on weekend and sometimes on weekdays as well.
I went to Low Light Bazaar, an analogue camera bazaar. I arrived pretty early and I walked straight to Om Jok's lapak to clean my Olympus Pen EE2 camera. Since I arrived early, I could request to prioritize this lol. After that I walked around, comparing prices of negative films lol and I ended up buying two film rolls.
Actually I was looking forward to October due to... DTS OUTING TO BANGKOK! 😆😆😆😆😆😆
AAAAAAAA finally a proper company outing 🥹 however, the preparation was not as smooth as previous outings. I got rescheduled like on the same day of my departure day 🫠 and it happened twice, on the same day 🫠 although I ended up get upgraded tox Thai Airways from AirAsia, the uncertainty left 9 of us who were rescheduled mad. So meh. Nevertheless, it was my first flight and overseas trip after the pandemic 🥺🥹 so yea I was excited!

In Thailand, I did not travel much due to the tight schedule. I was the last departure batch, so basically did nothing on my first day in Bangkok. I only bought some midnight snacks at the neighboring 7Eleven. Finally I could taste Meiji banana milk again lol. The next day was full-day business plan meeting, continued with performance night. I was under Support team, and we performed Indian dance hahahaha. I even rented an Indian dress, especially for this. Idk what drove me to go that extra hahaha and I was satisfied! We were the first to perform and the reception was huge 😆 our efforts were paid well as we won the first place hahahaha.

After the winner announcement, Wawan, Aqmal, and I planned to have dinner at Jeho, a well-known seafood restaurant. We then waited for Saskia and her friend from Btax who turned out to be Silo, a KSE scholarship beneficiary lololol. Jeho is located near our hotel, so we walked there. Along the way, I talked with Silo about our kuliah days. A random encounter. When we arrived at Jeho, it was still packed while in fact it was 11.00 pm already. Some of DTS colleagues were eating and waiting there. We took our queue number then we walked around the area. Not so much to see because it was late, but it was still lively as it was near Chulalongkorn campus area. After around an hour, finally it was our number hahaha. I haven't had anything since lunch, and at around 12 am, sour and hot spicy food were incoming 😂 but ngl, the food was worth the hype and wait. My favorite was the steamed crab omgggg it melts in my mouth the second I put it in 🤤 we walked back to the hotel around 1.30 am.

In November, I also went to my first JGTC HAHAHAHA. I wanna see Maliq & D'Essentials live since I didn't see their solo concert since the ticket was expensive :( I went there with Gita, sobad gabud ultimate w wkwk. We purchased Platinum ticket, the highest category. I recommend buying this category for sobad jompo bcs its perks are very beneficial, such as priority queue line, exclusive lounge (in Pascasarjana building) with exclusive mushala, and goodie bag with numerous sponsor goods. The main benefit is food and beverage aka prasmanan 😂 didnt expect that hahaha.
After watching Maliq -- surprisingly the first 'big' performer, we rested a lot in Pasca building, watching Tompi and Hivi from the comfort of our seat in Pasca building lol. Then we proceed to the stage and saw Yura Yunita (she's ethereal and unreal), Charlie Burg, and the last performer was TULUS! Wah pecah sih pas Tulus gue dan Gita deket panggung banget dan omg... Tulus auranya menangkan banget, kayak lagi duduk di pinggir danau yang tenang sambil menikmati angin berhembus lembut HAHAHA dangdut abiez but truuuu. To close off, we briefly visited Friday Noraebang stage and wow petjachhh haha. Besoknya kerja. 🥲🤡 Karena gue WFH, ketemu Gita lagi di Margo wkwkwkw bener-bener.
Some days after, it was the day of Coldplay concert in GBK. The traffic sucks, so I walked to the train station. The concert itself was pecah, meaning huge success and chaotic. Idk I saw some news on people without wristbands just entered the venue freely? Like, wtf???

Since I have 8 days of remaining annual leave, I think hard on how to spend it and I ended up having a PURELY SOLO trip to Taiwan hahahahaha. It was very sudden trip. I decided to go to Taiwan mid-November, purchased the ticket early December like two weeks prior, and the rest just go on.
But before the trip, Transfer Pricing had a bootcamp in Tangerang. I rode the motorcycle from home to the hotel. It was fun actually.
The next day was my departure day to Taiwan aaaaaaaa. Maybe I'll share the Taiwan trip more thoroughly in a separate post lol. The impression left in my mind about Taiwan is that it's a verrrrry pretty country and I wanna go back 🤡 maybe winter next year #manifesting✨
The rest of December was just work and holiday blues lol.
Sooooo that's it my 2023!
I look forward to 2024 for many reasons, one of them is that I am turning 30 lol sigh.
